another day, another post :) swinging...

here is the finished study of a selfportrait of Anthony Ryder, charcoal and white pencil + gouache for the high highlights.

portraits, portraits

hey there,

ok this time it is all about portraits :)

spending more time on honeing my skills and accuracy with drawing from life and studying the great and contemporary masters, still a bit wonky here hehe. but only practice makes perfect, draw draw draw...

here is a portrait from life, a friend and fellow student was so graciously nice to sit for me and we did this 30min study :) below is a photo of her with the portrait alongside.



then there is some Anthony Ryder study, from his "Figure Drawing" - book.
first is a sketch to work on the construction, it´s woobly I admit hehe, then there is a progress-shot of the final study I just started.





and last but not least, another Ryder study I did in class, pencil on paper.

and another study of a skull, I definately have a favor for drawing these; at least when it comes to studying from life hehe

I will be at a booth of the RSKA, Academy where I´m studying, in the Koeln Messe Deutz the next two days. For every gradutate of the Realschule and Gymnasium here in the Cologne area interested in a creative study this will be pretty informative. Next to talking to people, I´ll demo zBrush via a Beamer hehe, pretty neat.

hey there, here is a self portrait I´ve done yesterday for the international 1rst November event on conceptart.org.
oils with mirror, around 2 hours

two new little stilllifes I did yesterday. painted it with artrage, a nice little freebie programm. it´s a lot of fun to work with it :)
